In this project it is required to develop an application for deaf people that transmits the voice message from caller’s end in the form of data packets such that they are received as a text message. It is believed that the receiver is a deaf person, and is likely to use an instrument that has LED which glows when voice message is received and user can reply via text which is then converted into a voice message at the other end.
When proceeding with the project it is required to analyze following things
1. What qualities of sound make it distinguishable from other?
2. These qualities of sound must be captured and digitized.
3. Study must be carried out with commonly used sounds.
4. Determining number of unique symbols systematically with the help of linguist. Other way of doing it is splitting a stream of voice into components based on sounds. Algorithms are available for this.
5. Simple mapping of the letters.
